How Should I Prepare for My Treatment?

- Apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher before and after treatment, reapplying every 2 hours when exposed to the sun

PicoSure Pro Aftercare Instructions

- Clean the treated area at least twice daily with water or a mild cleanser, then gently pat dry
- Do not rub or scratch the treated area
- If crusting or scabbing occurs, do not pick at the area; apply moisturizer 2 to 3 times daily
- Small post treatment breakouts are normal and will resolve with time
- Avoid contact sports or activities that could cause injury to the treated area
- Avoid swimming, soaking, hot tubs, or saunas until the skin has healed
- To reduce discomfort, apply cold packs or compresses every 2 hours for 10 minutes
- Over the counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen may be used if needed
Additional Aftercare for Tattoo Removal
- Apply a non stick pad over the tattoo until healing occurs
- After cleansing and while the skin is still moist, apply a thin layer of Aquaphor® ointment
- Apply broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher every 2 hours when exposed to the sun
- Clean the area daily with mild cleanser and water, then pat dry
- Do not shave the treated area if crusting is present
- Avoid sun exposure between treatments whenever possible
- Use moisturizers formulated for sensitive skin as needed
- If blisters occur, apply Aquaphor® three times daily and avoid swimming until healed
