Microneedling
Microneedling Treatments at Stratica Dermatology
Fine lines, acne scars, uneven texture, and skin laxity can all be improved with microneedling treatments. At Stratica Dermatology, we offer two advanced microneedling options depending on clinic location, allowing us to tailor treatments to your skin concerns and goals.
Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-channels in the skin to stimulate the body’s natural healing response, encouraging collagen and elastin production for smoother, firmer, more even looking skin.

By delivering controlled heat deep into the dermis, Potenza creates micro-coagulation zones that trigger collagen and elastin production for firmer, healthier skin.
A unique feature of Potenza is its Fusion Tip, which allows topical serums to be delivered into the skin during treatment, enhancing absorption while RF energy works below the surface.

How Do Microneedling Treatments Work?
Microneedling treatments create controlled micro-channels in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production, improving skin firmness, texture, and tone over time.
With RF microneedling, added radiofrequency energy delivers heat deeper into the skin, enhancing tightening and collagen remodelling beyond traditional microneedling alone.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The number of treatments needed varies depending on your skin concerns and treatment type. Most patients begin to see improvement after a series of 3 to 5 treatments, with results continuing to improve over time.
At Stratica Dermatology, we offer complimentary cosmetic consultations to assess your skin and develop a personalized treatment plan. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to help sustain long term results.
What Can I Expect After Treatment?
After microneedling, mild redness, warmth, or sensitivity may occur and typically resolves within 24 to 48 hours. Most patients are able to return to normal activities shortly after treatment. With Potenza RF microneedling, downtime is still minimal, though some redness or swelling may last slightly longer depending on treatment intensity. Your provider will give you detailed post care instructions during your appointment.
When Can I Expect Results?
Some patients notice early improvements after one treatment, while optimal results develop gradually over several weeks as collagen production increases. With RF microneedling, collagen remodeling can continue for up to six months following treatment. Results and timelines vary depending on the treatment area and individual skin response.
Are Microneedling Treatments Painful?
Microneedling treatments are generally well tolerated. A topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment to minimize discomfort. Patients may experience a mild prickling sensation during treatment. With Potenza, you may also feel warmth as RF energy is delivered. Most patients describe the sensation as manageable and temporary.
How Much Do Treatments Cost?
Treatment pricing depends on the area being treated, the type of microneedling used, and the number of sessions recommended. During your complimentary consultation, your provider will review treatment options and provide a detailed cost estimate.
VAMP Skin Booster (Optional Add-On)
VAMP™ is a sterile bio-revitalizing solution that can be paired with microneedling treatments to enhance skin quality. Formulated with polynucleotides (PDRN), vitamins, amino acids, and minerals, VAMP supports skin repair, hydration, and overall rejuvenation at a cellular level. Your provider can advise whether VAMP is appropriate for your treatment plan.
